For India, vice-captain Virat Kohli (107) scored his 22nd ODI century and helped his team to score 300/7. Kohli got good support from opener Shikhar Dhawan (73) and Suresh Raina (74). For Pakistan, fast-bowler Sohail Khan took five wickets.

In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 224. Apart from Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq (76) and Ahmed Shehzad no other Pakistan's batsmen was able to score. For India, Mohammed Shami pick 4/35 runs from his nine overs.

It was a very good performance, started by the batsmen. We batted very well. It is needed. We have to put runs on the board to give our bowlers a cushion.
