Babar Azam becomes joins elite list of Cricketers

Jan. 19 (CRICKETNMORE) - Pakistan's youngster Babar Azam has become the joint-fastest player in cricket history to score 1,000 career runs in ODI, equalling a record that was first set 37 years ago by West Indian great Sir Vivian Richards.

Jan. 19 (CRICKETNMORE) - Pakistan's youngster Babar Azam has become the joint-fastest player in cricket history to score 1,000 career runs in ODI, equalling a record that was first set 37 years ago by West Indian great Sir Vivian Richards.

The 22 year old, Azam achieved this landmark when he reached 47 not out against Australia in 3rd ODI in Perth on Thursday, the 21st innings of his career.

He joins the elite list of Cricketers - West Indies great Sir Vivian Richards, England pair Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Trott as well as South Africa's Quinton de Kock in reaching the milestone in 21 innings.
