ऑस्ट्रेलियाई गेंदबाज पैट कमिंस ने कहा है कि भारत के सलामी बल्लेबाज शुभमन गिल शांत स्वभाव के खिलाड़ी हैं और मेलबर्न में अपने पहले टेस्ट मैच में वह आत्मविश्वास से भरे दिखे। कमिंस और गिल इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स में एक साथ खेलते हैं।

गिल ने अपने पहले टेस्ट मैच की पहली पारी में 65 गेंदों पर 45 रन बनाए। दूसरी पारी में उनके बल्ले से नाबाद 35 रन निकले।
