Joe Root Plays 100th Test Match; Becomes 1st Player Do So

England captain Joe Root is playing his 100th test match at Chennai. Root has become the third-youngest player to play 100 test matches and the 15th English cricketer to do so. Root has made 8249 run

Joe Root has become the first player to play the first, 50th, and 100th Test match on foreign soil. Root made his debut in Vidarbha against India in December 2012. 

Enters Elite List

Joe Root has become the third cricketer to play the first and 100th Test match on foreign soil. Kapil Dev was the first player to make his debut and play the 100th test in Pakistan. Carl Hooper is the next on the list, who did the same in India.
