The centre integrates performance analytics, physical assessment, specialised conditioning and rehabilitation services under one roof. The facility will also offer specialised conditioning, recovery and rehabilitation support to help athletes prevent, manage and recover from sports-related injuries.

According to the state government's vision, the centre will cater to athletes across different levels of competition, including emerging talent identified through grassroots sports development programmes and elite competitors preparing for state, national and international events.

In a post on X, Sangma said the government's vision was to build a strong sporting ecosystem, spanning grassroots talent identification and elite performance, while providing athletes with the resources required to compete at the highest level.
