\nMcLaren CEO Zak Brown believes that drivers championship leader Oscar Piastri is \"only going to get stronger\" following his third win of the season in Saudi Arabia.
Piastri is the leading McLaren so far this season, the Australian has a 10-point lead over teammate Lando Norris after having a strong start in the first five races.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Speaking to F1 TV following the race in Jeddah, Brown was quizzed on whether becoming the leader rather than the chaser may adjust Piastri\u2019s mindset at all, to which he responded: \u201cI\u2019m here to announce to everyone (that) I think he\u2019s only going to get stronger.\"<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Brown then faced questions on what this could mean for Norris, who put in a recovery drive in Saudi Arabia to cross the line in fourth after crashing out of Saturday\u2019s Qualifying session during Q3.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got our two number ones,\u201d Brown said of the drivers\u2019 shared status within the team. \u201cI think they\u2019re equal, they race each other hard. I think we\u2019ve yet to see them really have an epic battle \u2013 I think that day\u2019s coming, I\u2019m looking forward to it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\u201cThey race hard, they race clean, so I know everyone\u2019s waiting for that big moment. I think it\u2019s going to be a bit of a non-event for us internally.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\u201cWe know it\u2019s more of a when than an if. We have two great Grand Prix drivers racing hard, next to each other the majority of the time \u2013 something\u2019s going to happen, but that\u2019s racing, so I\u2019m excited.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n
