First Test Centurion For India <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n Lala Amarnath was the first player from India to score a test century. Interestingly, it was also Amarnath's debut test and Indian team's second. The innings came during India vs England 1st test match at Mumbai - 17th December, 1933. Amarnath scored 118 runs in the second innings and added 186 runs with captain CK Nayudu for the third wicket. <\/p>\r\n\r\n First ODI Centurion For India <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n Kapil Dev was the first player from India to score a century in ODIs. The innings came in a very crucial situation when India were playing a world cup match against Zimbabwe in 1983.
