1) Vicky Ostwal was born on September 1st, 2002 in Lonawala, Maharashtra. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
2) His father, Kanhaiya, a local businessman, used to take him to the academy from Lonavala to Chinchwad in local trains every day. It took them at least an hour and a half for one side travel. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
3) Vicky Ostwal's coach, Mohan Jadhav, advised the father-son duo to join Vengsarkar Academy in Pune so as to minimize the travel time. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
4) Ostwal used to play under 13 - under 14 matches when he was just 10 years old. The left-arm spinner played for Maharashtra at the age group level when he was just 13 years old. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
5) Ostwal, when he was just 14, got dropped from the zonal U16 state team due to a suspected action. He then met Atul Gaikwad - a level 3 coach from NCA who also worked with Rahul Dravid. He helped him tweak the action to bring him back. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
