Scotland players are wearing a newly designed jersey in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The freshly looking jersey is designed by a 12-year-old schoolgirl, Rebecca Downie. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

The design was chosen from over 200 entries from school children across Scotland and selected unanimously by the team, based on the colours of Scotland’s national emblem - the thistle.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Rebecca presented the new kit before the players left for Oman. She and her family were special guests in the match against Zimbabwe in Edinburgh where she met the players. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

A keen cricketer and Scotland fan said: “I was so excited when I heard I had won the competition, I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy to see the shirt in real life, it looks brilliant! It was amazing to meet the team and watch them play against Zimbabwe. I will be wearing my shirt and cheering them on in every game in the World Cup.” <\/p>\r\n\r\n
