A total of six members from the crowd were evicted from the stadium after Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj complained of continuous racist remarks came from the crowd. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

The game was stopped for around 10 minutes as umpires and match officials looked into the matter. The New South Wales(NSW) police also came into play as they picked up six fans in the crowd from their seats. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

"Cricket Australia condemns in the strongest terms possible all discriminatory behavior. If you engage in racist abuse, you are not welcome in Australian cricket," said Sean Carroll, Cricket Australia’s Head of Integrity and Security. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

"As series hosts, we unreservedly apologize to our friends in the Indian cricket team and assure them we will prosecute the matter to its fullest extent," he further added. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
