Srinivasan from contesting the election to the Indian cricket board&#39;s governing body presidency.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nThe apex court barred him from running for the president&#39;s post as long as he was involved in a &quot;conflict of interest&quot; situation as an owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK).<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nFormer Indian captain and left-arm orthodox spinner Bishen Singh Bedi stated in his tweet that the court&rsquo;s decision was a landmark ruling which also questioned the honesty of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n&ldquo;Landmark ruling by SC fr good of Indn Crkt-BCCI integrity questioned most glaringly and ever so aptly!&rdquo; tweeted Bedi Thursday.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nFormer IPL commissioner Lalit Modi also used the social media platform to hit back at Srinivasan saying it was time for a cleanup.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n&quot;#Srinivasan knew all along that Rule 6.2.4 is unsustainable &amp; illegal. #IPLVerdict now ensures a new @BCCI chief in 6 weeks. Time 4 cleanup.&quot;<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nThe apex court bench, of Justice T.S. Thakur and Justice Fakkir Mohamed Ibrahim Kalifulla, also held Srinivasan&#39;s son-in-law and CSK &quot;official&quot; Gurunath Meiyappan, and IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals&#39; co-owner Raj Kundra guilty of betting and said the punishment will not only be confined to them but also extend to the franchises they represent.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nTelevision presenter Harsha Bhogle too expressed his opinion on Twitter stating: &ldquo;The implications of this judgment seem vast.
