    "editor1": "<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Adelaide, Dec 9 (IANS) Cherishing his maiden wicket in Tests, India&rsquo;s debutant leg-spinner Karn Sharma expressed satisfaction at his opening day performance in the first cricket Test against Australia here Tuesday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Karn finished the day with only a wicket, giving away 89 runs off his 23 overs but scalped the dangerous David Warner, who led the home team&#39;s charge with a superb 145-run knock off 163 balls and was threatening to take the game away from India.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">&ldquo;I am happy with my performance - I broke a crucial partnership - and I want to continue that,&rdquo; he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Warner attempted to hit Karn out of the park, only to be caught at deep midwicket by Ishant Sharma. Becoming India&#39;s 283rd player to play Tests, Karn spoke of his conviction that his chance would come.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">&ldquo;I got to know in the morning that I would be playing. I was confident that sooner or later I would get a chance to play but to get it in the first Test of the series was very special.&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Karn hoped that the batting-friendly Adelaide track will also help spinners as the match progresses.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">&ldquo;The pitch is very good for batting. The ball is turning and there is not much bounce. On the third and fourth day the spinners will get good purchase,&rdquo; he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">&ldquo;We are very happy to get those three wickets in the end and we will look to continue in that vein tomorrow morning. If we get two-three early wickets, we will be back in the game<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n",
