    "editor1": "<p><strong>Wayanad, Jan 25 (CRICKETNMORE): &nbsp;<\/strong>India pacer Umesh Yadav stole the show with a match haul of 12\/79 as defending champions Vidarbha routed Kerala by an innings and 11 runs on the second day of the Ranji Trophy semi-final here on Friday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In the process, they reached the final for the second consecutive year. On the contrary, Kerala qualified for the semis for the first time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Umesh continued his superb form by adding five wickets to his first innings haul of 7\/48 as Vidarbha skittled out Kerala for 91 in the second innings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The match was sealed a little after lunch on the second day of the five-day semi tie.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Resuming at 171\/5, Vidarbha posted 208 all out in 52.4 overs to take the lead past the 100-run mark.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Umesh played a cameo with the bat too (17, 8 balls, 1X4, 2X6) at No.10.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The hosts got off to a bright start riding K B Arun Karthick (36, 33 balls, 5X4, 1X6) and Jalaj Saxena (7) but then faltered yet again.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>At lunch, Kerala were 66\/7, still 36 runs in arrears.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Besides Umesh, Yash Thakur also returned impressive figures of 4\/28 as Kerala collapsed from 59\/1 to 66\/7 in the space of five overs.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>After lunch, Umesh accounted for two more wickets to complete the rout.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>It did not begin poorly for Kerala as Arun Karthick batted aggressively against Umesh and fellow pacer Rajneesh Gurbani.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Umesh then got Saxena caught behind by Wadkar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Vishnu Vinod also struggled against Umesh&#39;s pace and edged one to the slip cordon.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Yash Thakur got rid of Karthick with a delivery that came in while captain Sachin Baby was run out as Kerala looked down the barrel.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Earlier, the Kerala bowlers did well to restrict Vidarbha to 208 as Sandeep Warrier took 5\/57.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Vidarbha now await the winner of the other semi-final between Karnataka and Saurashtra being played in Bengaluru.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In the second semi-final match, Saurashtra were at 227\/7 and are trailing by 48 runs in the first innings at stumps on the second day against Karnataka.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Aarpit Vasavada (26) was at the crease when umpires called off the day&#39;s play.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Snell Patel (85), Sheldon Jackson (46) and Cheteshwar Pujara (45) were the highest scorers for Saurashtra.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>For Karnataka, Ronit More scalped five wickets.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Brief scores:&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Kerala 105 all out in 28.4 overs (Umesh Yadav 7 for 48) and 91 all out in 24.5 overs (K B Arun Karthick 36, Umesh Yadav 5 for 31, Yash Thakur 4 for 28) lost to Vidarbha 208 all out 171 for 5 in 52.4 overs (Faiz Fazal 75, Wasim Jaffer 34, Sandeep Warrier 5 for 57, Basil Thampi 3 for 64) by an innings and 11 runs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Karnataka: 275 all out against Saurashtra: 227\/7 (Snell Patel 85, Sheldon Jackson 46; Ronit More 5\/54) at stumps on Day 2.<br \/>\r\n&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n",
