    "editor1": "<p><strong>Mumbai, June 22 (CRICKETNMORE):<\/strong> &nbsp;Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has lashed out at the ICC rule of using two new balls in ODIs, terming the idea as &quot;a perfect recipe for disaster.&quot;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Tendulkar opined after watching the high scoring matches in the ongoing series between England and Australia.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Significantly, England had created a world record of 481\/6 on Tuesday against Australia in the third ODI of the five-match series. In the next game on Friday, Australia put 312\/8, which was overhauled by the hosts with ease in just 44.4 overs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;Having 2 new balls in one day cricket is a perfect recipe for disaster as each ball is not given the time to get old enough to reverse. We haven&#39;t seen reverse swing, an integral part of the death overs, for a long time,&quot; Tendulkar wrote in his Twitter handle.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Notably, the idea of using two new balls from the different ends in ODIs was introduced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2011.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Tendulkar&#39;s view was also supported by former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis, who said that it is because of this rule that reverse swing has &#39;almost vanished&#39; from the ODI games.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;Reason why we don&#39;t produce many attacking fast bowlers..They all very defensive in their approach...always looking for change ups..totally agree with you @sachin_rt reverse swing is almost vanished..&quot; Younis tweeted.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Having 2 new balls in one day cricket is a perfect recipe for disaster as each ball is not given the time to get old enough to reverse.
