    "editor1": "<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">St. John&#39;s (Antigua), Sep 24 (IANS\/CMC) Former West Indies cricket captain Richie Richardson has expressed an interest in the vacant position of head coach of the regional squad.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">Richardson, the current team manager, is interested in replacing Otis Gibson who resigned recently after discussions with members of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) executive, reports CMC.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">Richardson Tuesday said he would not hesitate to accept if offered the top coaching position.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always said I would never say no when I am asked to do a job for West Indies cricket. I love West Indies cricket that much, so whatever I am asked to do I will say yes,&rdquo; said Richardson, a level three England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) coach.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">&ldquo;It&rsquo;s very difficult to say &lsquo;no I am not going to do it&rsquo; so if the board approaches me and ask me to coach the team; obviously, I&rsquo;d seriously think about it.&quot;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">Richardson has also dismissed reports that he has been acting in the position since Gibson&rsquo;s departure.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">Former player Stuart Williams has been occupying the top coaching spot since the WICB and Gibson parted ways last month.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">&ldquo;We all know exactly what we have to do and everything just continued to run smoothly,&rdquo; said Richardson whose contract as manager ends in 2016.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">&ldquo;The only difference is that it&rsquo;s a bit more work for myself and also for the coaches because we are one personnel short, but we rallied and we&rsquo;ve always been a very good team. We&rsquo;ve always worked well together and we continued in that vein.&quot;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">The West Indies will tour India from Oct 3-30.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial\">--IANS\/CMC<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n",
