The visit was a morale booster for the troops deployed in the harsh and rugged terrain of Kashmir,&quot; defence spokesman Colonel N.N. Joshi told reporters here.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana\">&quot;The cricketer was acquainted with the challenges a soldier faces when deployed on the LoC.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana\">In his interaction with the soldiers, Raina &quot;applauded the efforts made by the Indian Army jawans in keeping a constant vigil on the LoC&quot;, the spokesperson said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana\">The cricketer shared some light moments and his personal experiences with the soldiers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana\">He also had a meal with the soldiers and admired their &quot;culinary acumen&quot;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana\">Raina belongs to a Kashmiri Pandit family from Anantnag district, though he has never played for Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy domestic cricket tournament.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n",
