    "editor1": "<p>New Delhi, March 20 (CRICKETNMORE): South African all-rounder Jean Paul Duminy has decided to give the upcoming 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) a miss, citing personal reasons, IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils confirmed on Monday.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cricketnmore.com\/cricket-news\/we-were-bit-short-in-first-innings-says-australia-skipper-smith--24903\">We were bit short in first innings, says Australia skipper Steve Smith<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Duminy, who led the Daredevils in the 2015 edition, before passing on the baton to former India pace spearhead Zaheer Khan, had been a regular with the Delhi squad since 2014.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Delhi Daredevils chief executive Hemant Dua confirmed that Duminy will be unavailable for the tournament owing to personal reasons.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;We respect JP&#39;s decision. We are naturally very disappointed to not have JP in our midst this year, but as a franchise we clearly understand his position. At this stage, we can only confirm that we will look for a replacement at an appropriate time,&quot; Dua said in a statement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Duminy, on his part said he was hopeful of joining back the squad in the future.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;It has been a very difficult decision for me to make, but it was for purely personal reasons. I am grateful for the support and understanding from the franchise. It has been an absolute privilege to have played for and led a talented mix of players. I certainly hope to play a part for the franchise in the near future,&quot; he said.<\/p>\r\n",
