    "editor1": "<p>New Delhi, Sep 18 (CREICKETNMORE): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced an open tender process for global broadcasting rights for the glamorous Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Sunday.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cricketnmore.com\/cricket-news\/ambrose-questions-timing-of-simmons-sacking-as-west-indies-coach--19390\"><span style=\"color:#FF0000;\">Ambrose questions timing of Phil Simmons&#39; sacking as West Indies coach.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;We are happy to announce the tender process for IPL Global Media Rights (TV and Digital),&quot; BCCI President Anurag Thakur declared at a press conference.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The IPL&#39;s broadcasting rights are presently held by Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI). The deal ends after the cash-rich Twenty20 league&#39;s next edition on 2017.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The calling for an open tender for the broadcasting rights is in line with Justice Lodha Committee&#39;s recommendations for the BCCI to be more transparent in its financial dealings.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cricketnmore.com\/cricket-news\/radford-returns-as-windies-batting-coach-for-pakistan-series--19384\"><span style=\"color:#FF0000;\">Toby Radford returns as Windies batting coach for Pakistan series.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>World Sports Group (WSG) bagged the IPL broadcasting rights for a whopping $918 million in 2008 for a tenure of 10 years.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>WSG then signed a deal with Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd. (MSM) that made Sony the official broadcaster of IPL matches.<\/p>\r\n",
