    "editor1": "<p>New Delhi, Sep 8 (CRICKETNMORE): The third One-Day International (ODI) between India and New Zealand, scheduled to be held on October 19 at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium here, was on Thursday postponed by a day due to the Karva Chauth festival.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cricketnmore.com\/cricket-news\/kiwi-pacer-milne-likely-to-miss-odi-series-against-india--19127\"><span style=\"color:#FF0000;\">Kiwi pacer Adam Milne likely to miss ODI series against India.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) vice president C.K. Khanna confirmed the development. DDCA requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to push the match behind by a day and the national governing body accepted the request.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;I requested BCCI to postpone the match due to Karva Chauth which was agreed. Now instead of October 19 the match will take place on October 20,&quot; C.K. Khanna told IANS on Thursday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>DDCA has written a letter to BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke informing him about the difficulties in organising the match on the day of a festival popular in North India.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>DDCA expected ticket sales to be significantly low if the match went ahead as per the earlier schedule.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Providing security would also have been an issue as the police would have been busy with managing the festive pressure during the one-day traditional festival observed by women.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>New Zealand are scheduled to play three Tests and five ODIs.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cricketnmore.com\/cricket-news\/international-cricket-council-shelves-two-tier-test-system-shifts-focus-to-bilateral-ties--19133\"><span style=\"color:#FF0000;\">ICC shelves two-tier Test system; shifts focus to bilateral ties.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The first Test begins on September 22 in Kanpur. The first ODI is on October 16 in Dharamsala.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Ferozeshah Kotla will also host a warm-up fixture for New Zealand when the visitors take on Board President&#39;s XI from September 16-18.<\/p>\r\n",
