Injuries are part of the game, but I\u2019m just so happy I could still be part of this team. I love this team. I can\u2019t express what I feel \u2014 we actually did it! We\u2019re the first Indian team to win the World Cup in so long. The whole of India deserves this. Honestly, it was harder to watch than to play. Every wicket, every boundary \u2014 it gave me goosebumps. The energy, the crowd, the emotion \u2014 it was incredible.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Before her injury, the 24-year-old had been one of India\u2019s standout performers, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer for the team with 308 runs, including a century and a half-century.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
