    "editor1": "<p><strong>Lahore, May 9\u0964<\/strong> Facing criticism from former players over the appointment of South African Mickey Arthur as the national team&#39;s head coach, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan exuded confidence that the former Protean batsman would be successful in his mission.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Mickey, who earlier served as the Australia coach, succeeded former Pakistan pace legend Waqar Younis, as the head coach of the team on Friday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Shaharyar reckoned that Mickey&#39;s association with the Karachi Kings franchise in the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL), will help him in his new assignment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;Look Mickey Arthur has already clarified to us about that statement he made some years ago. So it is a dead issue now. He was coach with the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, so he knows the players well. He should be successful in his assignment,&quot; Shaharyar was quoted as saying by dailytimes.com.pk on Sunday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Shaharyar also tried to shrug off the criticism from former Pakistan stars, who claimed that he had earlier levelled match-fixing allegations against Pakistani players.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The 47-year-old had successfully coached his native South Africa from 2005-2010 before migrating to Australia, where he served for 19 months as the head coach.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Agency<\/strong><\/p>\r\n",
