The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday confirmed the approval of Lendl Simmons as a replacement for the injured Andre Fletcher in the West Indies squad for the ongoing World T20 tournament.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fletcher pulled a right hamstring during the match against Afghanistan in Nagpur on Sunday and has been ruled out of further participation in the tournament, an ICC statement said.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nThe 31-year-old Simmons has represented the West Indies in eight Tests, 68 One-Days and 34 T20 Internationals. In the shortest version of the game, he has scored 761 runs at a strike-rate of just under 114. Simmons was a member of the West Indies side which won the World Twenty20 in 2012 and played his last T20I against South Africa in Durban in January 2015.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The West Indies will take on host and 2007 champion India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday in a semi-final.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Agency<\/p>\r\n",
