    "editor1": "<p><strong>Port of Spain (Trinidad), 10 February<\/strong>\u0964 &nbsp;Fresh controversy appears to be brewing between the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the squad preparing to participate in the T20 World Cup in India, according to media reports.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The players, captained by all-rounder Darren Sammy, are objecting to a 75 percent pay cut imposed by the WICB ahead of the World Cup, set to begin on March 8 in INdia, reports CMC.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Sammy has reportedly written to the WICB requesting an urgent meeting to be held on February 14, the Valentine&#39;s Day.<br \/>\r\n&quot;We want to propose that we participate in the T20 World Cup 2016 under the same conditions that we have representedthe West Indies in previous tournaments,&quot; Sammy wrote in his letter on Tuesday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Sammy has been quoted as saying that the West Indies players will each earn $21,000 if they participate compared to $135,000 received from the last tournament.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The WICB will receive $8 million for the team&#39;s participation and more if they advance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Only one player on the West Indies team is said to be represented by the West Indies Players&rsquo; Association (WIPA).<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Eleven of the players on the squad were part of the West Indies team that won the T20 World Cup in 2012 in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The fresh controversy between the WICB and the T20 squad is brewing about a year and a half after the squad called off their tour of India abruptly over a longstanding payment structure disput<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Agency<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n",
