Laxman and Kapil Dev have also expressed delight on the eve of the commencement of first day-night Test match to be played at the Adelaide Oval between Trans-Tasmanian rivals Australia and New Zealand on Friday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Laxman, who played 134 Tests for India scoring 8,781 runs, believes day-night Test matches are a boon for the fans who generally miss the entire day&#39;s play due to school, college or work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;This is an exciting time for the cricketing fans as they can directly head to the stadiums or tune in on their TV sets to catch the action live,&quot; the 41-year-old, who is part of the commentary panel for the Test, said on Thursday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;Historically it has been proven time and again that a little modification in the way the game has been played traditionally has been successful. This is a revolution in the Test cricket format and I believe this is just the beginning of a new era for Test cricket.&quot;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Legendary all-rounder Kapil, who captained India to the 1983 World Cup glory, sees this development as a positive move.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&quot;I am very happy to see the plans to play a day-night Test coming into action. I would personally like to welcome this move as I see a lot of positives from it.
