    "editor1": "<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Karachi, Aug 8 <\/strong>- Karachi Police have detained one suspect in the shooting incident involving former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;The police have detained one suspect after a raid on his home in Quaidabad&#39;s Daud Chowrangi locality,&quot; Munir Ahmed Shaikh, DIG Karachi-East Zone, was quoted as saying by dawn.com.pk on Saturday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shaikh said the arrested suspect is the driver of the vehicle which hit the legendary pacer&#39;s car on a busy road on Wednesday, resulting in an altercation which led to the reported shooting.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fast bowler was unhurt and the shooter hastily fled the scene when a crowd began to gather.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The shooting took place after a minor accident when the shooter&#39;s car hit Akram&#39;s Mercedes car. Following a heated exchange of words, the suspect sitting in the back of the car, opened fire. In the initial probe, the suspect corroborated the sequence of events.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DIG East also said that the main suspect who opened fire has been identified, but refused to reveal his identity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wasim Akram, who is currently supervising a 13-day trial camp for talented pacers, will reportedly continue with his assignment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(IANS)<\/p>\r\n",
