Wiese scored a tremendous half-century but failed to cross the line.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Chasing 149 runs to win, UAE bowlers created all sorts of trouble for Namibia, restricting them to 69\/7 in 12.4 overs. Basil Hameed and Zahoor Khan struck two wickets each while Junaid Siddique, Karthik Meiyappan &amp; Muhammad Waseem managed 1 wicket each.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>From thereon, David Wiese and Ruben Trumpelmann held the crease as these two etched a partnership of 70 runs in 44 balls for the 8th wicket, taking Namibia to a crucial win in Round 1. Wiese scored 55 runs off 36 balls with 3 fours &amp; 3 sixes before getting dismissed in the last over. Trumpelmann scored an unbeaten 25 runs in 24 balls.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>With this result, Namibia have failed to qualify for the Super 12 stage. Sri Lanka have qualified into Group 1 in Super 12, placed along with England, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Australia. The Netherlands on the other hand, have qualified for group 2 along with Pakistan, South Africa, India and Bangladesh. &nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In the first innings, courtesy of a half-century by Muhammad Waseem and an unbeaten knock by CP Rizwan, UAE posted 148\/3 in 20 overs against Namibia in the 10th match of Round 1 of the T20 World Cup 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/img.cricketnmore.com\/uploads\/2022\/10\/UAE-vs-NAM.jpg\" \/><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Opening the innings, Muhammad Waseem scored 50 runs off 41 balls with a four and 3 sixes. After an opening stand of 39 runs, Waseem etched a partnership of Rizwan of 58 runs in 41 balls for the 2nd wicket. Waseem was then dismissed by Ben Shikongo in the 15th over.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Rizwan played a crucial knock as he smacked an unbeaten 43 runs off 29 balls with 3 fours &amp; a six.
