A MRI scan revealed a new bone stress related injury to his lumbar spine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\">The 24-year-old left-hander missed New Zealand&#39;s second Test win at Leeds and Tuesday&#39;s first one-day international loss to England at Edgbaston.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\">&quot;Corey has been working hard to get back to full fitness for the ODI series but he hasn&#39;t been able to overcome this injury,&quot; Black Caps coach Mike Hesson said. &quot;We felt the best course of action was to send him back to New Zealand for further assessment.&quot;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;\">Anderson has played 11 Tests, 35 ODIs and 15 T20 internationals for New Zealand since debuting in December in 2012 in the shortest format of the game.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n",
