In the past two months, the talks regarding retiring a batter out have gone up which was triggered by Rajasthan Royals&#39; decision to retire out R Ashwin during an IPL game.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Since then, at least one more instance of &#39;thinking&#39; about using this tactic came in front in IPL when Royal Challengers Bangalore&#39;s captain Faf du Plessis talked about using it.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>It seems like the revolution has begun worldwide. In the ongoing T20 Blast tournament in England, the Birmingham vs Nottinghamshire match saw two batters retiring out - Carlos Braithwaite and Samit Patel.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In the rain-affected game, the match was reduced to eight overs per side. Birmingham batted first and the West Indian hard-hitter, Braithwaite, walked in on the last ball of the fifth over. Sam Hain arrived at the crease, who&nbsp;is believed to be a better-equiped batter to hit spin than Braithwaite. Although his services weren&#39;t needed as Alex Davies (14 off 4 balls) and&nbsp;Chris Benjamin (first ball four then out) took 18 runs off Harrison&#39;s over.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In the second inning, chasing 99 runs, the match got too close with Nottinghamshire needing three runs off the last ball.
